On the 30th of January, Dianri Wessels brought the wines of Anura to us again. We love having Dianri at Vats her tastings are all full of information of the farm and the people that work there. The following was the order that we tasted the wines, the comments made by the tasters and the average scores.

Palate- crisp acidity, firm tannins, sun-dried tomatoes, savoury, white pepper, liquorice, anise, spearmint, plums, mulberry, black cherries, needs food.

Score- 17.17 (fifth best wine of 2024).

Lovely wines, good prices, an brilliant tasting! First time at Vats that the first wine scored so well, really good Rose, seems that Grenache seems to make good Rose wines (scored 7th for 2024, with three other wines). Thanks to Dianri for a well researched tasting, with the highest scores for wines tasted thus far this year. Best wine was the Chenin Reserve, which was the best wine for 2024 out of 46 wines tasted this year. Second the Legato Red Blend (3rd for 2024) and third the Malbec Reserve. Amazing wines, thanks again Dianri!
